Italian Futurist Oil Painting of Paris

My aesthetic celebrates the beautifully imperfect . . .

As an artist, I navigate between mediums with playful curiosity—from vibrant oil paintings and delicate watercolors to encaustic works and mixed-media soft sculptures featuring clay and paper installations. My aesthetic celebrates the beautifully imperfect through intentionally wonky compositions that embrace movement and thoughtful negative space. Drawing inspiration from nature’s wonders, human forms, and fantasy motifs, I’ve maintained a particular fascination with trees and root systems throughout my artistic journey. My creative spirit took root in childhood, where I first expressed myself through crayon marks and hand-shredded paper, eventually blossoming into formal training with a BA in Studio Art from Florida State University. My signature approach combines dynamic colors with rich textures, reflecting influences from folk art traditions, Post-Impressionism, and Italian Futurism. Through my work, I invite viewers to step into alternative worlds—creating what Lewis Carroll might recognize as “weapons of imagination” against reality’s harsh edges. In these created spaces, I offer both temporary shelter from life’s hardships and gentle commentary on our shared human experience, weaving moments of healing within the beautiful brokenness of existence.
