Text:  Exodus 3:1-15

Burning Bush (Oil on Canvas Tetraptych)

God comes to us when we least expect it.  God comes to us in the midst of our ordinary life, calling us to be a part of God’s extraordinary purposes.  Did you know that God has a plan for your life?  While not all of us get a burning bush, like Moses, God makes a practice of speaking with us and calling us, if only we have ears to hear and eyes to see.  Yet, usually, daily life gets in the way.

What will it take for you to experience God’s presence and God’s calling on your life?  What is your burning bush?  What is God using to get your attention?  How many times will God have to call your name before you answer?  And once you hear God calling, what will your answer be.  Will you have doubts?  Will you make excuses?  Even Moses had doubts and made excuses.  Yet, at the end of the day, let us be willing to say, “Here I am, send me!”  The challenge:  How can you make yourself more available to hear God’s direction for your life?
